Are you a driven Quality Assurance Leader who thrives on the shop floor and enjoys elevating teams? In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring product quality and food safety, strengthening our quality culture, and continuously keeping the factory audit-ready. You will lead a QA team and work closely with Production, Engineering, QC, Planning, and global QA partners.

Quality & Compliance Management
You are the guardian of food safety and compliance. You ensure that all processes and products meet the highest standards, from raw material to finished product, keeping the site audit-ready every day

Safeguard food safety, regulatory compliance, and product integrity (HACCP, GMP, QMS)
Oversee the timely release of all materials and products, ensuring full compliance with internal and external standards
Lead the handling of deviations and complaints through effective root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) to foster a zero-defect culture
Act as the primary QA contact for production with a strong daily presence on the shop floor to strengthen GMP standards and drive a 'First Time Right' mentality

Team Leadership & Continuous Improvement
You transform your team's capabilities into consistent results. With clear priorities, coaching, and a focus on data-driven improvements, you build a high-performing team and a culture of excellence

Provide daily guidance, coaching, and support to 8 QA professionals, creating a stable and positive learning environment
Set annual goals, track performance, and ensure the team structure and competencies align with business needs
Drive a culture of continuous improvement and 'First Time Right' across the site
Utilize data and lessons learned from deviations to strengthen processes and deliver accurate quality reports

Kwalificaties

Required:

A completed Master's/university degree in Food Technology, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, or a similar field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance within (infant) nutrition, dairy, or a similar production environment, of which at least 2-3 years in a leading QA role
In-depth knowledge of quality standards such as GMP, GDP, and HACCP
Proven skills in coaching and developing a team; a true people manager who can motivate a young team and bring stability
A robust, stress-resistant personality who is pragmatic and decisive in a dynamic production environment
You are available full-time (5 days a week) and work 100% on-site in Nijmegen (4 days is negotiable)

Preferred:

Experience with internal and external audits
Knowledge of SAMR regulations for the Chinese market
Strong skills in investigating deviations and problem-solving (root-cause analysis)
